Lived in "Bang er" for two yrs...not for the faint of heart. About six weeks of reasonable weather each year...the Uni town up the road, Orono, at least had about 10K folks with a slightly more up to date outlook on the world. No offense to any native Banggerites...

Hey I saw the GD in Orono in 83 I think - not a very populous place. Not a very memorable show except for I recall them coming on stage earlier than the billed time as my buddy and I were standing in the middle of the nearly empty floor. Light's went out band came on and we walked about right up to the stage - pretty cool.

Oxford was also quite warm if memory serves me right.

The Portland shows I saw over the years were almost always on the cool side.

Always pissed I missed the Augusta and Lewiston shows.

I also missed Lewiston, but was fortunate to be at the Augusta shows – thankfully we can listen to ‘em all though!

I guess it doesn’t matter anyway . . . Morning Dews in Maine

I am not generally a fan of the mid 80s but there are a few exceptions, and I do find myself reaching for the '84 Augusta show occasionally.

I fell in love with Maine in 1977
I hiked through Maine on the Appalachian Trail

I'll never forget hiking through Mahoosuc Notch
- it's the insane glacial cut in the center of this pic -

some hikers were whining about the rugged conditions in the Notch
I hiked it with some heads - we smoked our 420 here & spent hours in this place

Here's a nice place too (but my point still stands...):
